These newly integrated panel sessions will feature five-minute presentations from each speaker followed by a 20-minute moderated discussion between panelists regarding the session at hand, and ending with an audience participation Q&A using the AAPG Events Mobile App.

The increasing interest in the industry for solving reservoir potential and resource qualification problems demands an increasing number of petrophysicists in the workforce. However, formal and dedicated curricula in petroptrophysics are not only rare but are also outdated in the present university offerings. In this forum, we bring practicing petrophysicists from various backgrounds to discuss their journey, and how they prepapred themselves for these roles. The speakers also discuss the diverse range of career paths that petrophysics can open, which are above and beyond that of just calculating reservoir properties.
