The weather for Salt Lake in May can be fairly warm with average temperatures ranging from 70-50°F. These warming temperatures make it the perfect opportunity for hiking, mountain biking, or other outdoor activities.

Salt Lake International Airport

Salt Lake has one major airport in the metropolitan area: Salt Lake International Airport. Eight airlines operate out of Salt Lake including Delta which is a major hub with about 75% of the traffic. With an average of 650+ flight per day servicing around 90 different cities, the Salt Lake International Airport is rank in the top 30 of the busiest airports in North America.

Getting Around Salt Lake

There are several different means of transportation in Salt Lake enabling you move throughout the city with ease. Utilize the light rails (TRAX) to quickly move around the downtown area, hop on the Bues to get you almost anywhere in the Greater Salt Lake area, and take the commuter trains (FrontRunner) to Ogden or Provo with stops along each way.

Salt Lake Time Zone

In Utah the clocks go forward 1 hour at 2:00 a.m. on 11 March 2018, and back 1 hour at 2:00 a.m. on 4 November 2018. The month of May in Salt Lake will follow Mountain Daylight Time (MDT).
